The Kylie Blackwood Foundation was created in memory of Kylie Blackwood who was tragically murdered by an intruder on August 1st 2013. She left behind a husband and three beautiful children. Kylie was a beautiful person, caring with a kind and loving nature and was very family oriented who dearly loved her three kids, they were everything to her. Peter’s main focus is on his three children and setting up the Kylie Blackwood Foundation is part of Peter’s journey.
The purpose of the Kylie Blackwood Foundation is to raise awareness of violence towards women in our communities. Through awareness we hope to start a change in behaviours and attitudes that violence of any sort is simply not OK. The Foundation has partnered with the White Ribbon Foundation which is the world's largest male-led movement to end men's violence against women. White Ribbon Australia is a non-profit organisation and Australia's only national, male-led primary prevention campaign to end men’s violence against women. The funds raised by the Kylie Blackwood Foundation will go directly to awareness campaigns lead by White Ribbon
